Technology Summary
Solectek’s SkyWay-XM Series is an ultra-flexible, high performance licensed microwave backhaul solution for mobile and private network applications demanding carrier-grade reliability and future-proof infrastructure scalability.
The SkyWay-XM Series packs high-end features into a single 1U chassis. Modular configuration allows users to deploy a low cost, basic system and then upgrade capability as needed.
For applications requiring additional performance and reliability, SkyWay-XM can be configured and deployed in various different topologies including 1+0, 1+1, 2+0, and 4+0. Support for ring topology is native to the system and provides configurable ring failover, traffic grooming and Layer2/3 QoS functions.
The SkyWay-XM supports wideband operation up to 56 MHz, allowing for 600 Mbps full-duplex throughput. With the addition of a 2+0 configuration, networks can achieve full Gigabit capacity.
The SkyWay-XM Series is equally ready to deliver carrier-grade TDM circuits as well. From a basic configuration of 2 x T1/E1, users can expand up to 63 x T1/E1 circuits with plug-in modules. Optionally, STM-1 optical interface can address carrier backbone requirements.
The flexible IDU+ODU split architecture allows for a wide range of ODU frequency bands (6-26 GHz) and I/O options for the IDU (Ethernet, PDH, SDH) with only a single outdoor RF cable run required.
The SkyWay-XM Series is a part of Solectek’s comprehensive wireless backhaul portfolio, together with SkyWay-LM Series and 5GHz MIMO Excel Series. Customers can purchase a combination of last mile and backhaul total solutions from Solectek by choosing from 3.5/3.65 GHz last mile WiMAX access (SkyWay-MAX Series), 700MHz Mobile Broadband (SkyWay-Mobile Series) and video surveillance transport (SkyWay7000 Series).
